About the event

Description: OWRA invites you to a presentation highlighting recent legislation that advances wildlife rehabilitation efforts. The session will cover the legislative process surrounding Senate Bill 152, which authorizes wildlife rehabilitators to obtain an organizational TDDD. Previously, access to euthanasia medications were restricted to being purchased and administered under individual veterinary licenses, rather than the organization. Although rehabilitators collaborate extensively with veterinarians, the new legislation sought to enable centers to hold licenses comparable to those granted to veterinary hospitals or shelters - reducing potential operational interruptions. The presentation will also address Senate Bill 60, which permits telehealth for veterinary care. We are excited to share how this new legislation may help Ohio rehabbers.
