Distinguished Contribution

Wildlife Excellence

Presented to an individual who has worked five or more years in the profession who demonstrates a mastery of the activity and skills, site, program and a respected ability to mentor or pass these skills on to others.

Outstanding New Rehabilitator/Volunteer

Presented to an individual who has worked fewer than five years in the profession who demonstrates a
recognized potential in rehabilitation or education and has already made significant contribution and shows a
commitment to the profession and OWRA.

Community Partners Recognition

This award recognizes member or nonmember businesses, groups or collaborators whose work in their
community, district or region has demonstrated significant support for local organizations or permitted
facilities.

Excellence in Rehabilitation Support- Veterinarian

Presented to a supporting veterinary professional or Veterinary Nurse who has demonstrated exceptional and sustained support toward the rehabilitation of wildlife and/or education of rehabilitators or the community.

Special Awards

Presented to members or nonmembers, individuals, agencies or organizations whose service to OWRA, wildlife rehabilitation and its membership does not fit into one of the standard categories.
