Awards

This award honors a distinguished professional with five or more years of service who has achieved a mastery of skills in wildlife rehabilitation and/or education. The recipient is recognized not only for their expertise but also for their significant role as a mentor, whose positive influence inspires others and elevates the standards of the entire wildlife profession.

This award recognizes a business, group, or collaborating organization whose outstanding support for local, permitted wildlife rehabilitators has made a significant and positive impact on the success of wildlife rehabilitation or conservation efforts in their community, district, or region.

This award is presented to a veterinary professional or technician for their outstanding and sustained dedication to the field of wildlife rehabilitation. The recipient is recognized for providing exceptional contributions that advance both the direct care of wildlife and the professional education of rehabilitators within the community

This award recognizes an outstanding individual with five or less years of service who has demonstrated significant potential and commitment to the wildlife rehabilitation or education profession.

This award is presented to individuals, agencies, or organizations whose exceptional contributions advance wildlife rehabilitation, conservation, or the OWRA mission and are of a special nature, falling outside the scope of our standard award categories. It serves to recognize those whose dedicated service or unique impact merit special distinction.

This award is presented annually to one non-OWRA member (no self nominations). The recipient will be awarded $500 and a one year membership to OWRA. Recipients may not receive the Maribeth Taylor Award more than once. Applicants must be in good standing with the Division of Wildlife and any other applicable state and federal wildlife agencies.
